Dear Customer |
June 2002 |
Thank you for requesting OLESON MICROWAVE LABS (OML)
product information. OML is a small engineering oriented firm specializing in
the design and manufacture of millimeter wave (18 to 325 GHz) test equipment.
The company is in it's 11th year of business. OML has repeatedly achieved on-time
delivery with a very low customer warranty return rate. Confidence in our
product reliability is reflected in our "Terms and Conditions," which
contain provisions for an extended warranty available at no additional cost to the
customer.
Seventy
five percent of OML business is with test equipment manufacturers (OEM’s) for
resale under their brand. OML is currently supplying products to ongoing
requirements for customers such as: Anritsu (Wiltron), IFR (Marconi), Rhode &
Schwarz, Electro-Metrics and Agilent
(HP). These millimeter wave frequency extension products include:
vector network
analyzer, scalar network
analyzer, spectrum
analyzer, block down
converters for EMI analysis and low spurious (-50 dBc) frequency multiplier
sources.
OML
has been supplying to government, university, and commercial laboratory
customers. Low noise 26 to 110 GHz down converters for calibration of ENR sources, and filtered
multiplier sources for calibration of WR-22
through
WR-10 power sensors have
been delivered to the Raytheon (Hughes) Primary Calibration Lab and Primary
Standards USA. OML has shipped seven VNA extension
systems covering 50 to 325
GHz to the Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL), 90
to 220 GHz systems to TRW. Recently OML shipped a VNA extension system
covering 90 to 325 GHz to the University of Virginia, 26 to 220 GHz
systems to Ball Aerospace, 90 to 220 GHz systems to the Mayo Foundation
and will be soon delivering a 110 to 325 GHz system to the University of
Leeds, UK. By the end of 2002 OML will have delivered sixty
two VNA frequency extension modules
covering the waveguide bands from 90 to
325
GHz . OML will have
delivered over 375 VNA frequency extension modules, covering all waveguide bands
26 to 325 GHz, to all types of customers by the end of 2002.
OML
has also supplied many special designs to customers including: scalar
and vector frequency extension
systems for millimeter antenna measurement, low spurious K and Ka Band
multiplier sources for receiver testing, and multi-band millimeter block down converter systems for surveillance
purposes. Specific systems included: Ka
and W Band propagation measurement systems (NOAA subcontract), and an
80 channel V Band synthesizer for Josephson
Junction investigation (Sandia Labs subcontract). OML produced a
75 to 110 GHz vector network analyzer based, coherent imaging system for
modeling dust particles in space (NASA subcontract). In 1997, OML supplied ten
V Band (WR-15) up/down converter assemblies which were used for pre-launch
qualification of satellites. In 1999 OML has developed a spectrum
analysis test kit for the new FCC unlicensed transmitter spurious and harmonic
suppression requirements covering up through 230 GHz
OML
possesses a wide range of experience in the design of large scale microwave
communications systems, millimeter wave radars, and advanced millimeter
converters for radar warning and ECM/ESM receivers. OML products are limited to millimeter wave test equipment and
the test system market. OML is fully equipped
with latest model test equipment and has the capability to completely
test to all accepted specifications.
OML welcomes specialized test system requirements in the millimeter wave bands.
OML is defined as a U.S. "Vietnam Era" Veteran owned, "Small
Business" under the following FAR provisions for contract reporting
purposes: 52.219-8, 52.219-9, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, and 252.225-7001.
