Automotive Radar (77 GHz)

OML contributes to the R&D and manufacture of today's automotive radar technology, including FCC Part 15 emissions testing to 231 GHz, 15.253(e).  By characterizing devices and antennas, this emerging technology is helping to improve safety on roadways throughout the world.  The excellent performance, stability and reliability of the instrumentation simplifies installation, alignment and maintenance activities.  By leveraging existing microwave instruments, the OML frequency extension solutions are affordable, which helps with the adoption curve of this technology.  This light weight technology also helps to improve on fuel economy!

OML offers source modules, harmonic mixers and VNA modules that are plug-and-play compatible with modern microwave signal generators, spectrum analyzers and vector network analyzers, respectively.  These modules enable engineers to easily and affordably expand their measurement capabilities to the mm-wave frontier.  Using these tools, engineers can characterize their devices for emerging automotive radar applications.
